Set up the big screen

Show your event on a TV or projector at the venue, with the music, guests’ memories and the join QR code.

What you will achieve

The venue screen shows your event, readable from the back of the room.

Before you start

  • Use a computer or a TV with a web browser. Plug it in, and connect it to the internet, the screen and the speakers.
  • Keep the live console on your own phone or computer. The big screen is what guests see.

On the web

    Open your event, then go to On the day › Big screen.

    If no link is shown, click “Enable big-screen link”.

  3. 3

    Click “Copy big-screen link” or “Download big-screen QR (PNG)”, then open the link in the browser of the venue device.

    On the venue device, click Fullscreen, then check that the sound button says “Sound on”.

    From the back of the room, check that the text and the join QR code are easy to read.

    If the link was shared by mistake, click “Rotate big-screen link”, then open the new link on the venue device.

Expected result

Once you go live, the screen shows your event and changes every few seconds: the song playing, what’s next, votes, memories and the join QR code.

Important

Anyone with the big-screen link can watch the big screen. If it was shared by mistake, rotate it. Never show your event pages or the live console on the big screen.

Fix a problem

Problem: The big screen says the link is no longer active.

What to doThe link was rotated or disabled. In On the day › Big screen, enable or copy the current link and open it on the venue device.

Problem: No QR code appears.

What to doThe event has no join code, or it is postponed or cancelled. Create one in Guests › Add guests › Link & QR, then reload the big screen.

Problem: The screen says “Reconnecting…”.

What to doCheck the venue internet and reload the page once. Then compare the song playing with the live console before you continue.

Problem: There is no sound when I open the big screen on my phone.

What to doOn a phone, “Open the big screen” shows the picture only. For music, open the big-screen link in a browser on the device connected to the speakers.
