Run the music with the live console
Run the music on the day: approve songs, choose what plays next and reveal them to the room.
What you will achieve
You control what plays in the room from your phone or computer.
Before you start
- You need to be the organizer, a co-organizer or the stage manager. Do the rehearsal first.
- Open the big screen on a separate device connected to the speakers. The live console is for you only: never show it on the big screen.
On the web
- 1
Open your event, then go to On the day › Live console.
- 2
If the event hasn’t started yet, click “Go live” and confirm.
- 3
Check the status badge. If it says “Big-screen sound is off”, tap “Tap to turn on sound” on the big screen.
- 4
Under “Up next”, pick a song in “Add a ready song”, then click “Add to queue”. Drag songs to change the order.
- 5
Click “Next song” to play the next song on the big screen.
- 6
Under Approvals, approve or reject new Song Booth songs and wall messages.
- 7
For a special moment, click Reveal while the song is playing, then “Reveal now”.
Expected result
The song you chose plays on the big screen, and the console shows it as “Playing”.
Important
A reveal fills the big screen with a countdown and the song until you move on. Check the song before you reveal it, and never show the console on the big screen.
Fix a problem
Problem: The badge says “Reconnecting” or “Disconnected”.
What to doWait until it reconnects before doing anything else, then check what is playing and the queue. If you’re not sure an action worked, use “Refresh live state” instead of repeating it.
Problem: “Next song” does nothing.
What to doMake sure a ready song is in the queue, and that the sound is on: tap “Tap to turn on sound” on the big screen.
Problem: Something unwanted appears on the big screen.
What to doIn On the day, hide it: choose Hide on the song in Song Booth, or Reject on the memory in Wall.
Problem: My phone lost its connection.
What to doYour phone is only a remote control: the song keeps playing on the big screen. Reconnect, or carry on from another device.
