Check your event is ready and do a rehearsal
Check that everything is ready before the big day, and test the screen and sound at the venue.
What you will achieve
You go live knowing that the screen, the sound and the music work.
Before you start
- If you can, test at the venue with the screen, speakers, internet connection and phone or computer you will use on the day.
- Have at least one finished song ready to play.
On the web

Open your event, then go to On the day › Rehearsal.

Work through the Event checklist: next to each item still to do, click the Open button and fix it.

In “Live rehearsal”, click “Open task” next to each check that says “Needs attention”.

Open the big screen on the venue screen and the live console on your own device. Play a song to test the picture and the sound.

For each check marked “Check manually”, do the test, enter the device and sound output you used, then click “Sign off”.

When everything is ready, click “Go live” in the live console.
Expected result
“Live rehearsal” says “Rehearsal complete”, and a test song plays on the big screen with sound.
Important
The rehearsal is read-only: it sends nothing to guests and publishes nothing. It does not check that the venue itself is safe.
Fix a problem
Problem: Sonize won’t let me go live.
What to doSomething required is still missing, such as the date, a song or guest access. The message says what: fix it, then try again.
Problem: A check I signed off is no longer valid.
What to doA sign-off only covers the show as it was. If you change the run of show, the music or the device, test again and sign off again.
Problem: The big screen only shows a countdown.
What to doThat’s normal before you go live. You can still play a song from the live console to test the sound.
Problem: The venue internet is unreliable.
What to doPrint the join code so guests can still join, and keep a second control device ready. The big screen needs internet to play the music.
