Events

Create your event songs and retry a failed one

Turn your guests’ answers into songs, and see what to do if one doesn’t finish.

What you will achieve

Every planned song is created, and a song that failed gets a second try.

Before you start

  • Decide on held contributions first, in Questions › Inbox. A held contribution costs nothing and does not become a song until you approve it.
  • Check your credits. The cost is shown before you confirm anything.

On the web

  1. 1

Open your event, then go to Songs.

  2. 2

Under “Planned music”, check the songs still to create and the “Estimated cost to finish”.

  3. 3

Choose “Make the missing songs”, read the cost, then choose “Spend and make them”. Click only once.

  4. 4

Read the message that appears. It says how many songs started, and how many could not start for lack of credits or because the event reached its song limit.

  5. 5

Wait while the songs are created. After a few minutes, each label changes from “Being made” to “Ready”.

  6. 6

If a song says “Did not finish”, choose “Try this one again” once.

  7. 7

If “Review songs” appears, listen to each song and choose Approve or Exclude.

Expected result

Each planned song says “Ready”, and you can play it from the Songs list.

Important

Each try uses credits, including a retry. Credits for a try that fails are returned. Read your guests’ answers before turning them into songs.

Fix a problem

Problem: I can’t find “Make the missing songs”.

What to doAll planned songs are ready, or nothing is planned yet. Approve held contributions in Questions › Inbox, or add an honoree or a guest’s answer to the plan.

Problem: Some songs did not start.

What to doYou ran out of credits, or the event reached its song limit or its spending cap. Add credits or check your Event Pass, then choose “Make the missing songs” again.

Problem: A song failed again, or my credits look wrong.

What to doCredits for a failed try are returned automatically. Refresh the page before trying again. If the balance still looks wrong, contact support and give the song title.
