Account, security, and privacy
Choose your privacy and consent settings
Decide who can see your profile and activity, and which optional data you agree to share.
What you will achieve
You decide what other people see and which optional data Sonize may collect.
Before you start
- Each switch saves as soon as you change it. There is no Save button. Every optional choice stays off until you agree to it. Marketing email covers a weekly recap, the weekly challenge, a reminder when your credits run low (at most once a day), reminders of the occasions you save and of your event anniversaries, and our offers. You can unsubscribe in one click from any of these emails.
On the web
- 1
Open Settings and choose the Privacy tab.
- 2
In Who can send songs, choose who can add songs to your library.
- 3
Under Visibility, turn Public profile, Show activity, Allow mentions and Let senders see when I play their song on or off.
- 4
Under Email communications, turn Marketing email on or off. Under Analytics and tracking, turn Analytics and Measure whether I open marketing emails on or off. The text under each switch explains what it covers.
- 5
To see the choices you made before, open Consent history.
Expected result
When you come back to the page, each switch is still in the position you chose.
Important
Making your profile private does not change the sharing setting of each song or playlist. Check them one by one if you want everything to be private.
Fix a problem
Problem: A switch goes back to its previous position.
What to doThe change was not saved, often because the connection dropped. Check your internet connection and try again.
Problem: I can’t find Consent history on my phone.
What to doConsent history is only on the website: open Settings, then the Privacy tab.
Problem: The Marketing switch under Analytics and tracking is missing or cannot be turned on.
What to doSonize does not use advertising cookies. The switch only appears if you accepted them in the past, so that you can withdraw that choice. On the web, it also stays off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
