Account, security, and privacy
Download your data or send a privacy request
Get a copy of your Sonize data, or ask us to correct it, restrict or object to its use, or transfer it.
What you will achieve
You get a copy of your data, or send a request that our team will answer.
Before you start
- For a request, prepare a short description (at least 10 characters) of the data or decision concerned. If you cannot sign in, write to [email protected] or use the form at sonize.io/privacy/request, which needs no account.
On the web
- 1
Open Settings and choose the Privacy tab.
- 2
Click Export my data. A file with your data downloads to your computer.
- 3
To send a request, go to Privacy rights requests and choose a Request type, for example Correct my data or Data portability.
- 4
Describe what you need in Request details. If you wish, add a two-letter Country code, such as FR.
- 5
Click Submit request once.
- 6
Follow your request in Request history, which shows its status and response deadline.
Expected result
The file is saved on your device, or your request appears in Request history with the status Received.
Important
The exported file contains your personal information, including your sign-in sessions, billing history and activity. Keep it somewhere private and share it only with people you trust.
Fix a problem
Problem: The export does not download, or the share window does not open.
What to doCheck your connection and the free space on your device, then try again. If a message asks you to sign in again, sign out, sign back in and retry.
Problem: The Submit request button does not work.
What to doWrite at least 10 characters in Request details. Leave Country code empty or type exactly two letters.
Problem: The status of my request has not changed.
What to doWe answer within one month of receiving your request; the date is shown as the response deadline. A complex request can take two more months, and if so we tell you within the first month. Please do not send the same request twice. If you disagree with our answer, you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr) or to the data protection authority where you live.
