Account, security, and privacy
Delete your account or cancel the deletion
Ask for your account to be deleted, and change your mind within 72 hours if you need to.
What you will achieve
Your account is scheduled for deletion, or a deletion you asked for is cancelled.
Before you start
- If you want to keep your songs or information, download a copy first with Export my data.
- Have your email address ready. You also need your password if you have one, and the code from your authenticator app (or a recovery code) if two-factor authentication is on.
On the web
- 1
Open Settings and choose the Privacy tab.
- 2
At the bottom, click Delete account and read what will happen to your plan, credits and songs.
- 3
Type your email address, then your password and your authenticator code if they are asked for.
- 4
Click Yes, delete my account. A banner shows the date until which you can cancel.
- 5
To keep your account, click Cancel deletion in that banner before the date shown. The email we send you also has a link to cancel.
Expected result
The Privacy page shows Account deletion scheduled with the cancellation date, and you receive a confirmation email. If you cancel, the banner disappears and your account stays as it was.
Important
Deletion runs 72 hours after your request and cannot be undone. Your remaining credits end and are not converted into money. A refund you are owed, for example after a withdrawal, is still paid: write to [email protected], ideally before you delete. A plan bought on the Sonize website ends with your account; if other people still use your workspace, its plan and credits stay with it. A plan bought through the App Store or Google Play is not cancelled for you: cancel it in your store subscriptions.
Fix a problem
Problem: My password or code is refused.
What to doType your email exactly as it appears on your account. Use the current code from your authenticator app, or a recovery code you have not used yet. If you forgot your password, reset it first.
Problem: Cancel deletion is no longer shown.
What to doThe 72 hours have passed, or the request was already cancelled. A completed deletion cannot be undone. If you are not sure, write to [email protected].
Problem: Some information about me is kept after deletion.
What to doDeleting your account erases or anonymizes your personal data. We keep only what the law requires, such as invoices for 10 years, and security, fraud-prevention and moderation records.
