Making songs

Review, edit and make another version

Change the lyrics before the song is made, or ask for another version you like better.

What you will achieve

You create the song only when the lyrics suit you, and you know how to get another version.

Before you start

  • Your song’s first lyric draft is free. Rewrites are included up to a limit; after that, each one uses a small number of credits, shown on the button before you use it.

On the web

  1. 1

On Review lyrics, change the title at the top if you like.

  2. 2

To change a part yourself, click its pencil button and type. To get a new suggestion for that part only, click its circular arrows button.

  3. 3

To redraft everything, open Rewrite all lyrics, add a note or pick a Direction such as Warmer or Simpler, then click Redraft lyrics.

  4. 4

If Hear a short preview first is shown, you can click Create audio preview to hear 18 seconds before creating the song.

  5. 5

When the lyrics and price are right, click Looks good — create song.

  6. 6

Once the song is ready, click Another take of the song for a new version with the same lyrics. Its price is shown under the button.

Expected result

Your song is created with the lyrics you approved. Earlier versions stay in your Library.

Important

Another take of the song is a new song and uses credits; it does not replace the first one. Check the price before you start it.
