Playback and TV

Reconnect or unpair a TV

Pair your TV again when its code expires or it stops connecting, or remove your account from a TV.

What you will achieve

Your TV is connected again, or your account is removed from it.

Before you start

  • Make sure the TV and your phone or computer are connected to the internet.
  • Only the newest code on the TV works. Each code lasts 10 minutes and works only once.

On the web

  1. 1

On the TV, select New code to get a fresh code. This button appears when the TV shows Code expired or Pairing unavailable.

  2. 2

On your computer, open Settings, then the Sign-in & security tab, and choose Pair a TV.

  3. 3

Enter the new code, check that the request names your TV, then choose Approve TV.

  4. 4

To unpair instead, go to the TV home screen, scroll down, and select Unpair this TV.

  5. 5

If you no longer have the TV, open Settings, then the Sign-in & security tab. Under Active sessions, open the options for Sonize TV, choose Sign out, then confirm.

Expected result

The TV shows Connected and your songs again. After unpairing, it shows a new code and none of your songs.

Important

Never send a TV pairing code to anyone, including support. Approve only a code you can see on the TV in front of you.

Fix a problem

Problem: The approval screen says the code did not work.

What to doCheck that you typed the newest code. If the TV shows Code expired, select New code and enter that one instead.

Problem: The TV can’t load your songs or can’t reach search.

What to doCheck the TV’s internet connection, then select Retry or Try again. A connection problem doesn’t unpair the TV.

Problem: The TV keeps going back to the pairing screen.

What to doThe TV was signed out, for example from Active sessions or with Sign out other devices. Approve one new code. If it keeps happening, restart the Sonize TV app and contact support with your TV model and the message shown, never the code.
