Use profiles, friends, and following

Choose who can see your profile, follow people, and pick close friends to share songs with.

What you will achieve

You decide who sees your profile and you keep up with the people you follow.

Before you start

  • You can only follow public profiles. If your profile is private, nobody can follow you or see your profile and public songs.

On the web

  1. 1

To edit your profile, open Settings, then the Profile tab. Change your username, bio or photo, set Profile visibility, and save.

  2. 2

Open People in the menu. Click All, Friends, Followers or Following to see each list.

  3. 3

To find someone, click Find people, search for them, then click Follow.

  4. 4

To stop following someone, click Following next to their name. It shows Unfollow when you point at it.

  5. 5

To choose close friends, click Sharing & invites, then Add to Close Friends next to a friend.

  6. 6

To block or report someone, open their profile and click the More actions button.

Expected result

The person appears in your Following list. When they follow you back, they also appear under Friends.

Important

Anyone can see a public profile with its public songs and playlists. Don’t put your phone number, address or other personal details in your bio.
