Use comments, mentions, reactions, and reports

Comment on a song, reply to others, mention someone, react with an emoji, and report a comment that breaks the rules.

What you will achieve

You can join the conversation about a song and flag anything that shouldn’t be there.

Before you start

  • Sign in to comment or react. A comment can’t be edited after you post it, so read it again before posting.

On the web

    Open a song and go to Comments. Click Add a comment…, write your comment and click Post.

    To answer someone, click Reply under their comment, write your reply and post it.

    To mention someone, type @ followed by their exact username, for example @ana_music. No list of names appears, so check the spelling.

    To react to the song, click React (or + if it already has reactions) and choose Love, Fire, Wow, Moved, Groove or Chill. Click your reaction again to remove it.

    To delete one of your comments, click the bin icon and confirm. Its replies are deleted too.

    To report someone else’s comment, click the flag icon, choose a reason and click Submit report.

Expected result

Your comment first shows “Awaiting review · Only you can see this comment.” Sonize checks it with OpenAI’s moderation service; once it passes, other people can read it.

Important

Everyone who can see the song sees your comments, mentions and username. Never post passwords, codes, payment details, private links or someone else’s personal information.

Fix a problem

Problem: The person I mentioned wasn’t notified.

What to doCheck the spelling of their username. People who turned off Allow mentions in their privacy settings, or who blocked you, get no notification. A comment notifies up to 10 people.

Problem: My comment says “This comment was not published after review.”

What to doIt was not approved and stays hidden from others. If you think this is a mistake, choose Request a review next to the message: a person at Sonize checks it. You can also delete it and write a new comment that follows the community rules.

Problem: Someone is harassing me.

What to doReport their comments, then open their profile to block them. If you are in immediate danger, call the emergency services.
