Create your first song

Sonize welcomes you, then you create your first song for free.

What you will achieve

You create your first Sonize song, free of charge.

Before you start

Think of who the song is for and a few details to include, such as a name, a shared memory or a mood.

On the web

On Home, Sonize welcomes you. Choose Create my first song to start it. Explore first closes the welcome: your first song stays free.

Describe your song in a sentence: who or what it is about, and the occasion. Then select Choose the sound and pick a style if you like.

Choose Preview lyrics. Sonize writes the lyrics; no music is made yet.

Read the lyrics and change any line you want, or ask for a rewrite, until you like them.

Choose Looks good — create song. Your first song costs no credits and is ready in a few minutes; it is also saved in your Library.

Expected result

The screen says Your song is ready, and the song is kept in your Library.

Important

Never put passwords, codes or bank details in a song description.

Fix a problem

Problem: The welcome doesn’t appear, or you chose Explore first.

What to doOn Home, choose Make my free song to see the welcome again, or open Create to make your song there. Your first song stays free until you have made it.

Problem: Sonize asks you to verify your email.

What to doOpen the email from Sonize, choose Verify this email, then come back. The welcome appears once your email is verified and you have chosen a username.

Problem: The song is taking a long time.

What to doLeave it running and come back later. Don’t start another song: if creation fails, Sonize tells you what to do next.

Problem: You can’t download or share your first song.
