Create a karaoke video or a video for social media

Make a short vertical video for your story, or a karaoke video to sing along. The vertical video is free; karaoke videos use credits.

What you will achieve

You get a video of your song, ready to watch or post.

Before you start

  • Use a finished song with lyrics. Instrumental songs can’t have these videos, and a free song may need to be unlocked first.
  • The video for your story and lyric timing are free. Each karaoke video uses credits; the amount is shown before you start.

On the web

    Open the song. If you created it, open Manage song to see the video panels.

    In Video for your story, choose Create the video.

  3. 3

    When it’s ready, choose Share to send it to another app, or Download to save it.

    For a karaoke video, check the credits shown in Karaoke video, then choose Generate video.

    You can leave the page while the video is being made. When it’s ready, play it or choose Download video.

    To post on Instagram or TikTok, make the song Public, choose Share at the top of the song, then pick Instagram or TikTok under Post it as a video.

Expected result

The panel shows your finished video, with buttons to play, share, or download it.

Important

Once you share or post a video, others can copy it. Check the lyrics and who can hear the song before posting it elsewhere.

Fix a problem

Problem: Create the video can’t be selected.

What to doThe lyrics first need precise timing. On your own song, choose Prepare precise timing, wait a few minutes, then try again. It’s free. If it isn’t your song, ask the person who created it.

Problem: The panel says Syncing lyrics…, or the video is taking a while.

What to doLeave it running and come back later. Asking again doesn’t charge you twice. Once the lyrics are synced, choose Generate video again to start the karaoke video.

Problem: The karaoke video failed.

What to doIf a karaoke video fails, your credits are refunded. Choose Try again to start over; each new try uses credits again. If it keeps failing, check the lyrics and contact support.

Problem: Instagram doesn’t open straight on Stories.

What to doChoose Instagram in your phone’s share menu, choose to post the video as a story, then paste the caption Sonize copied.
