Accept an invitation or join an event
Join an event as a guest with a link or a code, or accept an invitation to help organize an event or to join a team.
What you will achieve
You join the event or the team that invited you.
Before you start
- You don’t need a Sonize account to join an event as a guest, but you must be at least 18.
- An invitation to join a team creates a new Sonize account for the invited email address. That address must not already have an account.
On the web

Open the invitation link you received, or scan the event’s QR code with your phone’s camera.

If you only have a code, choose Join an event in the menu, type the Join code, then click Go.

Enter Your first name (your email is optional), tick the confirmation boxes, then click Join the event. Your guest page opens.

For an invitation to help organize an event, open the link and click Accept invitation. Then click Open event and sign in with the invited account if asked.

For an invitation to join a team, open the link, choose a password, tick the box confirming you are 18 or older, then click Create account and join.
Expected result
As a guest, your guest page opens. As an organizer or team member, you find the event or the team once you sign in.
Important
Don’t post invitation links or join codes publicly: anyone who has them may be able to join.
Fix a problem
Problem: Sonize says the code didn’t match.
What to doCheck the code and try again. Codes never contain 0, O, 1 or I.
Problem: The invitation has expired, was already used or can’t be found.
What to doAsk the person who invited you for a new one. If you already used it yourself, just sign in.
Problem: The event is closed.
What to doThe organizer is no longer accepting new guests. Contact them directly: Sonize can’t reopen the event for them.
Problem: The team invitation says an account already exists for this email.
What to doA team invitation needs an address that has no Sonize account yet. Ask the person who invited you to invite another address.
