Billing and credits

Understand plans, credits, and costs

How credits work, what each action costs, and what your plan adds every month.

What you will achieve

You understand where your credits come from and how they are spent.

Before you start

  • Anyone in the workspace can see the balance and the costs. Only the workspace owner, or someone with billing access, can buy credits or change the plan.
  • There are two kinds of credits: plan credits, added every month by a paid plan, and credits that never expire (bought, welcome, referral, or received as a gift). Sonize spends plan credits first.

On the web

  1. 1

Open Credits & plan from the menu.

  2. 2

At the top, read your Credit balance. With a paid plan, Sonize also shows your plan credits and your non-expiring credits on separate lines.

  3. 3

Read your plan details: credits every month, renewal date, and how long unused plan credits carry over.

  4. 4

Scroll to What your credits buy to see the current cost of each action. Lyric sync is included at no cost.

  5. 5

To change your plan, choose Change plan or See plans.

Expected result

You can see your balance, your plan details, and the cost of each action before you create.

Important

Prices and credit costs can change. Always check the cost shown just before you confirm.

Fix a problem

Problem: The number of songs shown doesn’t match what you can create.

What to doThat number is only an estimate based on the price of one song with vocals. Trust the exact cost shown next to each action.

Problem: You can see the balance but can’t buy credits or change the plan.

What to doOnly someone with billing access can do this. Ask your workspace owner.

Problem: Your plan credits changed after a renewal or a cancellation.

What to doUnused plan credits carry over only for the time shown, up to the rollover cap, and they end with the plan. Non-expiring credits (from packs or gifts) stay until you use them. Check the renewal or end date of your plan.
