Review active sessions and sign out devices

See which devices are signed in to your account and sign out the ones you don’t recognize.

What you will achieve

Only the devices you recognize stay signed in to your account.

Before you start

If you sign out a device, you will need to sign in again on it.

On the web

Open Settings, then the Sign-in & security tab. Active sessions lists every signed-in device.

Click the three-dot button next to a device to see when it signed in, when it was last active and where.

To sign out that device, click Sign out, then confirm.

To sign out every device except This device, click Sign out other devices, then confirm.

Expected result

The device disappears from the list. The device you are using, marked This device, stays signed in.

Important

Signing out a device can lose any work that was not saved on it.

Fix a problem

Problem: You don’t recognize a device or a place.

What to doThe location is approximate. If you still don’t recognize the device, sign it out, change your password and turn on two-factor authentication.

Problem: A device you signed out still seems connected.
