Create, organize, and share playlists

Group songs in the order you like, then keep the playlist private, invite people, or make it public.

What you will achieve

Your playlist has the songs you want, in the right order, for the right people.

Before you start

Decide who should see the playlist: only you and the people you invite, or anyone on Sonize.

On the web

Choose Playlists in the menu, then Create playlist.

Enter a Playlist name. Leave Private playlist on unless anyone on Sonize should find it, then choose Create playlist.

In the playlist, choose Add songs and select your songs. You can also choose Add to playlist on any song.

Drag songs or use the arrows to change the order, and use the remove button to take a song out. Choose Edit playlist to rename it.

Choose Share playlist, enter an email or username under Share with people, then choose Invite.

Under Shared with, select the X next to a name and confirm to remove that person. Choose Copy link to send the link.

Expected result

The playlist shows your songs in the right order, and Shared with lists the people you invited.

Important

Removing someone’s access works right away. A public link may already have been passed on, so make the playlist private again when it should no longer be open to everyone.

Fix a problem

Problem: Someone can’t open the playlist.

What to doA private playlist opens only for the people you invite. Invite them with Share playlist, or make the playlist public.

Problem: Sonize can’t find the person you’re inviting.

What to doCheck their email or username. You can’t invite yourself, and people who have blocked you, or whom you have blocked, can’t be found.

Problem: You can’t add more songs.
